Body = FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Los Angeles March 2005
Los Angeles
- An exciting new hi-tech display system from Europe is now available
in the US for the first time, threatening to revolutionize traditional
shop-window displays and even replace neon signs and standard video
screens.
If getting the
publics attention is the name of the game, color video displays
that appear to hang in mid-air should do the trick. Banners and
printed display ads will now have to compete with cost-effective
moving video images in their place. Not
only does the new display system catch the eye, but it also allows
advertisers to put across their message more effectively.
The new, patented
concept has been used with blazing success in Europe by MTV France,
Adidas, Vodaphone and Ecco footwear amongst others.
An effective
attention-grabber, VideoLogoâ projects color video images
onto a company logo lasered out of a thin sheet of specially formatted
material, making the screen very light, durable and weatherproof
for outdoor use. This does away with the need for an expensive monitor
screen, so end users are able to project razor-sharp video images
both onto a company logo as well as onto a screen of any shape or
proportion. When the images are projected onto the screen, the naked
eye sees only
the projected images, and the screen becomes effectively invisible.
Since the screen
is so light, it can easily be suspended in the air in shop windows,
malls, supermarkets, airports, cinemas, subway stations, busy intersections
- practically anywhere that the public passes. Advertisers will
be able to exploit
new, formerly unusable spaces to display free-floating ads and video
footage.
Existing advertising
footage can be adapted for the new screen, or specific material
can be created for the display. The creative possibilities of this
new system are endless, and broaden the scope of advertisers to
reach a wider public.
The video footage
is displayed on the logo and can be looped for endless display,
and can easily be updated as and when the advertisers wish to change
their message - for different campaigns or seasonal changes. The
video information is transmitted
digitally to the projector, allowing for quick and easy changes
of information, as well as providing a cost-effective and maintenance-free
system.
