CENTRAL CITY,
Neb.—April 7, 2005—Colorado Aspen Home Builders (CAHB)
announces a grant received from Nebraska Governor David Heineman.
The governor presented the grant of $506,000 to the company’s
owner and president Andrew McFaul to help fund the start-up costs
of its new Central City plant.
Andrew McFaul
said the majority of the grant money will go toward the purchase
of equipment and working capital. CAHB, along with local banks,
will also be
contributing nearly $2 million toward the plant start-up.
“When
we were looking to expand we received some very attractive offers,
but the quality of the local workforce is what led us to select
Central City,” said Andrew McFaul.
The company
plans to eventually staff 250 full-time employees at the Central
City location, Andrew McFaul added. With more than 120 current employees
and growing every day, it is the largest employer in Central City.
