Press Release Body = Blow Up Hollywood will perform live at the Anthology Film Archives Courthouse Theatre in New York on August 22nd, 2005. The band will be previewing some new songs as well as premiering their brand new video animation on
the big screen for the song "WMD" from the forthcoming album "The Diaries of Private Henry Hill". The video animation was directed by Joel Tippie and based on his cartoons. Doors at 7:30p and Zenen opens the show at 8pm. The Anthology Film

Blow Up Hollywood, who's name is a backlash to the excesses of glitter marketing in media, is made up of 7 critically acclaimed New York musicians, including Julliard Scholar Dave Eggar and musical visionary, Steve Messina. The band creates a huge orchestral wall of sound with blissful string arrangements and poignant vocals making each track a requiem. Blow Up Hollywood is best taken as a whole as the band’s song concepts overwhelmingly replete their albums. The band’s live show is a mixed media event with the staging of a self-produced film being run on a screen
while the band score it live, almost secretly in the dark.

The band released their first effort entitled Blow Up Hollywood in 2002 to rave reviews. Their highly anticipated second studio album, Fake, released in 2004 was hailed by critics as a masterpiece. On May 31st of this year, Blow Up Hollywood released an EP, Stars End, a live improvisation which was recorded in the middle of a deadly cold night in November of last year at the WXPN Radio studios in Philadelphia. The band is currently in the studio working on their next album entitled “The Diaries of Private Henry Hill”, due for release in 2006. Visit:
