Body = Stephen Lodge's novel, "Charley Sunday's Texas Outfit!,”
published by Behler Publications, which began as a screenplay, is
about to be one again. Author, Stephen Lodge and his screenwriting
partner, director, David S. Cass, are preparing to deliver another
script. "Charley Sunday ..." is the story of a sensible,
sober-minded Texas grandfather, who imparts the American Cowboy
legacy to his only grandchild, as he and several of his grizzled
cronies concoct a 1,000-mile longhorn cattle drive across 21st Century
America. “We’d like to film the story in the same locations
Steve wrote about in his novel,” says producer. Jeffrey Sneller,
“which includes, parts of Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas. But
if that is somehow impossible, we will do our best to find locations
that match as best they can.” As for the cast, Sneller points
out that “Casting is usually the last thing done before shooting
– except for the star, of course. Right now, we have some
pretty good ideas about who we want to play Charley, but until a
director is signed, I suppose we’ll all just have to hold
our breaths about who’s going to play the lead in this sentimental,
“G”-rated, family oriented, modern-day Western tale.
