Summary = Nashville’s Largest Urban Tradeshow names their
youngest Executive Director in its history. Shawntaz Crawford, 24,
a graduate of Tennessee State University (TSU) has been appointed
by Nashville Black Business Expo (NBBE) to become its new executive
director.

names their youngest Executive Director in its history. Shawntaz
Crawford, 24, a graduate of Tennessee State University (TSU) has
been appointed by Nashville Black Business Expo
(NBBE) to become its new executive director.
Crawford is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He received a Bachelor
of Science degree in Art with a minor in English from TSU. While
at TSU he was the President
of several organizations including Student Government Association,
College Democrats and the Collegiate 100 Black Men. Dr. James Hefner,
past president of TSU, selected Crawford to be considered for “Who’s
Who Among College Students”. He has also studied and taught
graphic design, digital media and marketing at the Rochester Institute
of Technology in Rochester, New York. In addition to his
academic success, Mr. Crawford has developed many successful marketing
campaigns and promotional strategies for various clients in the
surrounding Nashville area. The NBBE theme this year is “Get
Exposed,” which clearly reflects the intent of
the organization. This Expo will strengthen more viable partnerships
between majority and minority-owned businesses, provide an atmosphere
for businesses to fortify their client base and reach new ones and
reconnect African-American businesses with the Nashville Community.
The Nashville Black Business Expo will be the premiere activity
in the Nashville area offering companies an opportunity
to be exposed to this very lucrative market.
The NBBE Inc. is an organization founded to serve as a support network
in promoting African American-owned businesses in the Nashville
community. Through their events, promotions, projects and products
it is their goal to assist in creating economic wealth in the African-American
community.
