Hollywood Script Consultant to Coach Screenwriters in the Middle East

Los Angeles, CA – November 10, 2005 - Adagio Productions announced plans to host a two-day training workshop in Dubai for film & media writers. The workshop, presented as part of the Hollywood in Dubai series, will be conducted by highly acclaimed
script consultant and best-selling author, Dr. Linda Seger, and will take place at the Dubai World Trade Center on November 23rd & 24th, 2005.

The workshop is aimed at the region's aspiring writers and media professionals who would like to learn the techniques used by Hollywood screenwriters and producers to create fiction entertainment as well as the popular “reality” based media programming.

Dr. Linda Seger’s film and media clients include Sony/Tristar Pictures, Disney Animations, Turner Television Network, as well as all top three television networks in the United States: ABC (Alias, Desperate Housewives), NBC (Friends, Law & Order), and CBS (Crime Scene Investigation, King of Queens), among many others.

She has also written eight best selling books, and has collaborated on more than 2,000 scripts, including such box office hits as Universal Soldier, Only You, A Far Off Place, Beyond Rangoon, Never Ending Story II, Stargate, The Witness, and the highly acclaimed, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

According to several industry analysts, media is one of the fastest growing sectors in the Middle East economy, and the number of television networks operating in the region is set to double within the next five years. The recent upsurge in television and film production has created a large demand for original entertainment programming in the region, but the lack of trained writers and producers has
hampered the emergence of new and unique content.

“The quality of media content being created in the Middle East and South Asia is still far behind Hollywood,” said Carol Elizabeth Wheeler, Marketing Director of Adagio Productions. “It's not lack of ideas, but rather an inability to accurately materialize those ideas into stories that can be transferred to the screen. We are confident that this workshop will provide the region's media professionals with the tools needed to create unique stories, as well as help them transform those ideas into world-class film and television programming.”

All workshop attendees will receive a screenwriting certificate, as well as the Hollywood Screenwriters Kit that includes script templates for television and film, original Hollywood scripts, screenwriting software, and a listing of essential television networks & film studio contacts in both the Middle East and the United States.
