Press Release Body = Lake Oswego, Oregon - What has traditionally been seen as a
broad geographic region has now become a little smaller thanks in part to the
unification of the Southern Oregon real estate marketplace. An innovative Internet
tool is launching today in response to the growing demand for real property in the
region.
The website, www.southernoregonrealestate.net, will allow visitors to search for
commercial and residential real estate and connect with the right experienced Broker
from any one of the six counties comprising the Southern Oregon region.
SouthernOregonRealEstate.net is not devoted to the services of just one real estate
Broker; rather it serves as an information portal and referral service which matches
specific buyer needs with the right Southern Oregon real estate Broker in both
residential and commercial areas of expertise.
Local Brokers who are part of the referral network will be graded by
SothernOregonRealEstate.net customers on the merits of their customer service skills
and subject matter expertise. This type of feature is common with e-commerce
websites, and its innovative application to the Southern Oregon real estate
marketplace is done to measure the accountability of local real estate service
providers.
Currently, the Jackson and Josephine County multiple listing service are available
for search, and access to the remaining four multiple listing services will be
brought online through the end of the year, 2005.
Vic Nicolescu, Broker and Owner with Keller Williams Southern Oregon in Medford, and
chairman for the Southern Oregon Real Estate Internet Consortium which sponsors the
website, is playing a key role in organizing the six professional Realtor
associations to lend support for the project.
“With so many individual real estate websites the Internet can be a daunting place
for the prospective customer. It’s the vision of the Consortium to build a
one-stop information portal that empowers the customer to search our multiple
listing service (MLS) data on their own, and really have a say in the type of
Broker expertise they would like to be connected with.”
“You would be surprised how many important decisions on which properties are of
interest and who the customer wants to work with are made late at night while on the
Internet in the comfort of one’s home,” he said. “Our goal is to make this process
easier and improve access to excellent information.”
The website is marketed by the Lake Oswego, Oregon real estate marketing firm,
Builders Media Group, Inc. (www.buildersmediagroup.com), who recently produced the
local www.bellavita-on-main website and Portland’s flagship corporate campus
website, www.amberglen.com.
“With regional net in-migration at an all-time high, the Internet is the primary
research tool for buyers and sellers interested in investing in the region,” said
Jack Wagnon, founder of Builders Media Group, Inc. “We are pleased to be a part of
this innovative project and working with such a collaborative group like the Real
Estate Internet Consortium here in Southern Oregon.”
