Press Release Body = Tel Aviv, Israel, November 11, 2005 -- Atlas hotels, Israel
leading hotel chain for business and leisure travelers, announces today the
reopening of Center Hotel as a new boutique hotel designed to celebrate the culture,
spirit, art, and architecture of the century old city of Tel Aviv.
The Center Hotel, located on Dizengoff Square and opposite the Cinema Hotel, was
converted into a hip, consumer-friendly design hotel. The historic Bauhaus building
has been renovated to preserve the special characteristics of the "White City"
architectural style. The rooms have been refurbished in an outstanding, unique and
creative style that makes every room different than the other. There are 56 rooms in
total; all feature white wooden floors, white furniture, unique local art and a
designed wall. Most of the rooms have balconies overlooking the square with a table
and chairs for a morning coffee or an afternoon of people watching. All the rooms
are comfortable and have a dash of style.
On 18th December 2005, Atlas Hotels will be temporally closing the Melody Hotel,
situated opposite the Hilton Hotel and overlooking the Mediterranean in order to add
an additional 3 floors to the building and to refurbish and upgrade the existing 34
rooms. At the end of the day, the newly designed boutique hotel will have 53 rooms
and 2 suites. Atlas hotels hope to re-open the hotel in April 2006. During this
period reservations can be made at other Atlas Tel Aviv hotels – Basel Hotel, Tal
Hotel, City Hotel, Cinema Hotel and Center Hotel.
“After several lean and unproductive years in the Israeli, tourism industry, the
