Press Release Summary = Info Angel is a free personal information manager (PIM).
Press Release Body = A wise man once told me you can\'t plan your life on the back of a bar napkin. I\'m not sure whether this was a warning about the dangers of alcohol or a plea for everyone to get a personal information manager (PIM). Two or three beers later, I downloaded today\'s free file, Info Angel. It\'s a program that remembers everything so you don\'t have to.
A PIM is like a secretary, except it won\'t answer the phone or make you coffee. It\'ll keep track of phone numbers, addresses, meetings, and important dates.
Info Angel has four parts:
- A notebook section where you can add text-based notes, recipes, directions, or anything else you\'d scribble in a notepad. The interface is a text editor that lets you type or paste in text. You can even add photos and tables to documents.
- A contact book to keep track of all your friends, family, and business associates. You can add detailed information about each of your contacts, including phone numbers, email addresses, and birthdays. Plus, you can add a photo so you can match the face with the name.
- An organizer complete with a calendar function so you can plan your schedule. Just pick a day, add an entry, and select a time of day. Info Angel will pop up a reminder every time you\'re supposed to do something.
- A bookmark manager to keep track of all your favorite websites. Here\'s a quick tip: Info Angel comes with a built-in Web browser in the side pane, but when you double-click one of your bookmarks it launches a new IE window. To get it to open within the interface, click the bookmark once. You\'ll now notice the URL has been inserted into the address bar in the side pane. Now hit the Refresh button. The site will open in Info Angel.
And here\'s another good feature: You can password-protect individual entries to keep your private info from prying eyes.
