Press Release Summary = Spain\'s first non-mainstream arts festival
Press Release Body = October 2006 sees the third Raw Arts Festival travel to Valencia, Spain. At the very heart of this Festival are new and exciting collaborations with the NY Arts Magazine and the Color Elefante Gallery in Valencia, Spain. Raw or \'Outsider art\' includes Folk/Intuitive/Marginalised/Self-taught/Visionary art. The previous two Raw Arts Festivals in London were highly successful. The first attracted over 65 artists from 9 different countries. The second attracted over 95 artists from 12 different countries. They were referenced as being "London\'s largest and best International exhibition of self-taught art mounted to date" by the New York Arts Magazine.
The main objectives of the Raw Arts Festival are: . To show that all kinds of people are capable of producing truly great art . To bring all kinds of people together to celebrate our common humanity.
In addition, the 2006 Festival seeks: . To highlight artists that respect and enjoy Spanish culture . To show that many famous Spanish artists have been influenced by raw art . To compliment the Valencia Biennal . To show that the raw art movement is becoming increasingly international

As you can see, many of these artists are both well known and exceedingly talented artists. Furthermore these artists come from all over the world. The 2006 Festival will become "Spain's first 'non-mainstream' art festival". The festival web-site was set up in October 2005. Since then, the festival has quickly become half-booked.
The Festival will be held at the Color Elefante Gallery. The creator and director of the Raw Arts Festivals, Piers Midwinter hopes that holding the Raw Arts Festival in Valencia will provide exhibiting participants with a platform upon which they can seek personalized international press coverage. There is a limited amount of space and as such, a total of approximately 25 artist's works will be exhibited. This years festival will thus focus on the essence of Raw Art.
