Stop overpaying for electronic products this Christmas
Traditionally Christmas is an expensive and busy time. Consumers are increasingly turning to the Internet for their shopping deals; however some don\'t always get the best deals.
London,UK 06/12/2005
People have been migrating to shopping on the Internet in their flocks over the past few years, indeed according to VeriSign Payment Services, which represents more than 120,000 online retailers, the total amount spent from Thanksgiving 2004 through Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, was $8.8 billion, a 24 percent increase in sales over the same period in 2003.
The obvious merits or shopping on the Internet are the convenience of shopping from home and the perceived value for money. However is it really that much cheaper than shopping in a traditional retail store?
Well the answer is two fold, yes and no. There are so many different electronics retailers on the net it is sometimes hard to keep track of them all and prices can vary greatly.
The Dieringer Research Group found \"Nearly 100 million adults made purchases after doing online research in 2003\", it is interesting to wonder how many of these adults made a purchase from one website when if they had just known of another could have clicked across and saved upwards of 20%.
There are obviously many review sites out there too, but which one should you use and how do you know they aren't helping promote certain products, quite simply you don\'t.
That is where Zoohoo (found at http://www.zoohoo.co.uk) a new review site with a twist comes in. This site summarises all reviews from other leading review sites and stores them in one convenient place. Consumers can browse via electronic type or search through products. Each product review then allows the consumer to see the various prices from each store and make an educated decision on where to purchase from.
The hope is with this site consumers can make sure they get the best deals this Christmas and don't feel like a turkey come New Year.
