Press Release Body = Each year, students from Delphi Academy of San Francisco Bay (A private K-8th grade school in Santa Clara) collect canned and boxed foods to donate to needy families during the holiday season. This is done as part of Delphi Academy\'s program to have the children learn about community service activities and learn different ways they can help the community.
The class in charge this year was Mrs. Victoria Raiburn\'s 3rd grade class. They got students to donate more than 500 pounds of food items. Then they took the donations to the 2nd Harvest Food Bank in San Jose on Dec 9th. The children were thrilled to bring the food to the Community Service Center. They spent over an hour touring the facilities and learning about the organization of the food bank. They learned how much the community needs the help and were even more proud of their efforts. They were thanked for bringing joy and food to the needy.
