Press Release Summary = A partnership between Maximpact and Macomb Community College
will offer online classes providing credit hours for educators.

Press Release Body = Earning recertification credit hours is now being made
available on the Internet through a partnership with Macomb Community College and
Maximpact, and Rochester Hills-based leadership and development company. This
unique partnership brings together teachers from across the nation into a single
virtual classroom.

A pilot program this past winter included teachers from Florida, Maine, Michigan,
Minnesota, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado. Participating and The Well-Balanced
Teacher, these teachers gave excellent reviews for the format, flexibility, and
content of the pilot class.

The extended partnership adds two new classes to the prior off-line of The
Well-Balanced Teacher. The new classes are \"Conflict at School\" and \"Project
Management\".

Participants earn CEUs from Macomb Community College with SB-CEU (also known as
SB-CPE) credits documented by the Macomb Intermediate School District of Macomb
County, Michigan. Credit hours awarded through the school district are recognized by
all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

\"These classes are truly unique because they allow each teacher to work entirely at
their own speed,\" says Rick Weaver, president of MaxImpact. \"Teachers have a total
of eight weeks to complete the six weekly lessons in each class. This allows
teachers to take the classes around their heavy work periods, such as midterms and
final exams.\"

Earning recertification credit hours is difficult for some teachers for a variety of
reasons:
1. Classes are not readily available in all areas.
2. Teachers are not always available when classes are offered.
3. If a teacher registers for a class in advance, the teacher may forfeit the
registration fee should something later prevent the teacher from attending the
class.

This online structure eliminates all of these concerns while adding the benefit of
working at their own speed anytime of the day or night.

schools or school districts, contact Rick Weaver at 248-802-6138 or visit
