Delegates from all over the UK will spend a stimulating weekend in some of the Cotswolds most beautiful countryside recalling the shows, dance bands and the classics that make up the story of recorded sound from 1877 (cylinders) and 1888 (discs) to the present day. An excursion to Keith Harding's World of Mechanical Music Museum in Northleach, Gloucestershire is also included. Prices begin from only £140 (non-residential) to £185 (double room - based on two sharing) and £200 (single room).
Tutor John Gilks is an author, writer and broadcaster who has been an avid collector of records and tapes for a lifetime. Co-tutor Gavin Mist is a record enthusiast, an audio/visual professional and a director of the City of London Phonograph & Gramophone Society with a burgeoning collection of vintage equipment.
