Press Release Summary = Thousands of internet users from all over the world are
invited to contribute to this experiment: the first global videoartwork project.

Press Release Body = Today sees the launch of a project entitled \"The Circle\",
brainchild of the videoartist Mauro Di Flaviano.
It aims to create the first global videoartwork, with the participation of thousands
of Internet users throughout the world.
The circle, a symbol to be found in all cultures, has been chosen as a metaphor of
Nature and Man.
On the website http://www.blueray.it/thecircle, users around the globe can submit a
photo based on a circular shape (a face, a ball, a wheel etc.).
In June 2006, Mauro Di Flaviano will use the photos submitted to make a film, thus
creating the first global videoartwork.
The soundtrack will consist of original music specially composed for the occasion by
Sandro Di Stefano.
The names and countries of origin of all those who contribute to the project will be
mentioned in the end titles and the video will be available on Blueray's internet
site.
The Circle is the first project in the world for the creation of a single video
artwork made by thousands of people from all over the world.
The idea is very simple. Send us one frame of the video. It can represent anything
you want as long as the main focus of the image is on a central object which is
circular.
It can be anything you like. Maybe the sun, a ball, a lake viewed from the air,
planet earth, a satellite dish, a human cell etc... Use your imagination... look
around.. in your office, in your room, with your friends.
All the people that send a photograph will find their name in the end titles and
will have access to a section on this site where they can download the full movie.
Director Mauro di Flaviano will edit all the images we receive to create the 1st
global video artwork. Each picture will be used once (and only once) and combined
with the others to create \"The Circle\".
With your help we expect Mauro to create a wonderful video art movie. The soundtrack
will be specially written for it by maestro Sandro Di Stefano.
Mauro Di Flaviano has been making videos for experience nearly 20 years. He has
directed many movies, both for corporate usage and for entertainment. One of his
main projects is \"Stanley and us\", a huge documentary on Stanley Kubrick in which he
interviewed almost everybody that Kubrick had to deal with in his life.
