Press Release Body = Welcome to Charleston, South Carolina-the City of Festivals-known for its history, friendly people, and fresh seafood. Restaurateurs Wade Boals and Brett Yearout, creators of The Noisy Oyster, understand how to entertain you and your taste buds during your visit to the Lowcountry. The Noisy Oyster is artfully decorated with reminiscent artifacts and photos of the fisherman\'s island lifestyle. As if you were on a tropical island vacation, the atmosphere is colorful with exceptionally friendly service to satisfy each person\'s expectations.
Their flagship restaurant is located on the corner of East Bay and North Market Streets in Historic Downtown Charleston. You will be entertained at a window seat while you watch the carriage tours and passers-by. You may be facing the historic Customs House, or the open market where shoppers stroll by artisan booths featuring Gullah style woven sweetgrass baskets, hand crafted jewelry, paintings, clothing, and gifts. During the warmer weather months (and warm winter days), the oversized windows, which open like garage doors, are wide open so you can enjoy the fresh air, and to make sure you\'re comfortable, the air conditioning is on just enough to keep you cool.
The Noisy Oyster provides scrumptious lunch and dinner dishes. Every dish is beautifully and abundantly prepared. You may even decide to sample several dishes at the oval shaped bar in the center of the restaurant. From here you can enjoy the 360o view.
Tucked away, in the back of the restaurant is where you\'ll find the locals. The Oyster bar features bushels of oysters on ice. Shuckers await your request for raw or steamed oysters, prepared and shucked to order. Cold beer on ice is conveniently available to accompany your oyster experience.
It is difficult to choose from the delicious selection of over 40 appetizers, exciting salads, raw bar seafood, and soups. You\'ll find southern favorites, such as: Fried Green Tomatoes served over cheese grits with a golden corn relish; a house specialty-Hot Shrimp, Crab, and Parmesan Cheese Dip served with colorful tortilla chips; Fried Gator Tail with a Dijon mustard sauce; and for the sophisticated seafood taste, you can order Oysters Rockefeller, Oysters Remick, or Sesame Seared Sashimi Tuna served over Asian slaw with sides of wasabi and soy sauce. Moving into the dinner selections, Yearout and Boals believe that variety, prepared to perfection, is the spice of life. With more than 50 entrees to choose from, including Ribs, Surf n\' Turf, and Steak-all, except sandwiches, served with two sides-some of the local favorites are: the Seafood Steam Pot-a cast iron pot, steaming with snow crab legs, lobster tail, shrimp, oysters, clams, and mussels, with corn on the cob, potatoes, and country sausage to add to the deliciously seasoned broth; light and crispy Fried Oysters; Red Snapper with Shrimp Cream Sauce; Key West Stuffed Grouper-stuffed with blue crab stuffing and topped with blue crab Hollandaise sauce; and Shrimp and Grits topped with fresh local shrimp, sausage, onion, Tasso ham gravy, and served with homemade grilled cheddar cornbread.
If you still have room for dessert, you can indulge in their delectable oversized slices of locally baked 3-layer coconut cake with creamy coconut filling, several flavors of rich and creamy cheese cake, ultimate chocolate 5-layer cake, or The Noisy Oyster\'s home made tangy key lime pie with lime zest throughout. The Noisy Oyster is a wonderful meeting place for families, groups and couples. You will remember the food to be satisfying, the service to be friendly, and the prices to be affordable. The Noisy Oyster Restaurant is open daily, from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
