Bucharest, 2006 - ValueFirst became the first MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator)
to start its operations in Romania. ValueFirst, which is a leading MVNO for data
services with over 350 enterprises as its customers chose Romania as the base
country for entry into the Eastern European market.

ValueFirst decided to choose Romania as there were no players in the country proving
carrier-class data mobile data services to the enterprise customers and high
penetration (over 50%) of mobile phones. Romania’s economy has been growing at an
explosive phase and it has registered a significantly higher FDI (€ 3.5 billion)
then its near neighbors in 2004. Inflation has been steadily reducing compared to
