Press Release Body = "For the Fun of ." is the title of this extraordinary festival, which will offer workshops and events to the local community and end with a prestigious, large-scale 4-day art show at the Chester Guildhall. The art show will showcase the work created from the workshops and offer exhibition space for local professional and amateur artists. "For the Fun of ." workshops and events will be tutored by professional local artists: for example David Heke (the official photographer of the Roman Amphitheatre) will be hosting a workshop in photography.
"The workshops provide an opportunity for a wide cross-section of people to gain first-hand experience of creative art. The workshops will include street painting, animation, pottery, chocolate wrapper designing, experimental drawing, DJ-ing, music performance coaching and photography," explains Oliver Perry, "For the Fun of ." organiser. "We hope to involve 500 - 600 people from schools, local community groups and the general public in these workshops."
Art for Art's Sake is an organisation purposely focused on encouraging and displaying community arts. Their main objective is to obtain a venue and create an arts centre in Chester for housing workshops, gallery space and other facilities for the arts.

Open from 9:30am to 5:30pm Thursday to Saturday and 10:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday.
