The Multicultural Business Council (MBC) is extremely excited about endorsing and partnering with the Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the upcoming DR-CAFTA Conference at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico from September 21 through 23, 2006.
DR-CAFTA is designed to eliminate tariffs and trade barriers and expand regional opportunities for the workers, manufacturers, consumers, farmers, ranchers and service providers throughout the region. It eliminated tariffs on more than 80% of US exports of consumer and industrial products over the 10-year period beginning with its passage.
In addition to publicizing the event to its members on six continents, MBC is making it known that booths and sponsorships are available to companies and organizations that would gain from having their products and services displayed at the conference.
"It is exciting to work on this endeavor with the Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce," says Rick Weaver, Chief Operations Officer for MBC. "It is admirable that the chamber has had the insight to coordinate such a much-needed conference."
