Released on = July 27, 2006, 11:32 pm

Press Release Author = Stacey Kumagai/Media Monster Communications, Inc.

Industry = Entertainment

Press Release Summary = The Emmy Race is on! But for Cinematographer, James
Chressanthis, ASC nominated for ESPN2\'s FOUR MINUTES - the run itself, was the
ultimate victory in getting the perfect look for the film.

Press Release Body = Los Angeles, CA --- He used six cameras. He has five other
competitors in the Emmy category for Outstanding Cinematography for a
mini-series/movie. But for James Chressanthis, ASC, FOUR MINUTES encompasses his
three loves:
cinematography, art and running. This is the second Outstanding Cinematography Emmy
nomination for Chressanthis. His first was for the 2001 biography Life With Judy
Garland. Will this Emmy nomination for ESPN2's Original Movie about Roger
Bannister's first sub-four-minute historic mile run, be the one? Currently,
Chressanthis is Director of Photography and one of the directors of the CBS
primetime hit series Ghost Whisperer starring Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Chressanthis' artistic vision for FOUR MINUTES took on a life of its own. He donned
period spiked running shoes to test a quarter mile track, while capturing the
authentic feeling of training for a race. "I trained with Actor Jamie Maclauchlin,
who portrayed Bannister and ran with the tiny Ikonoscop Super-16 miniature camera.
I wanted to give the audience the feeling of being inside the pack, the screaming
crowd pressing in upon the runners as they sprint into the final stretch," explains
Chressanthis.

For the majestic mile run, Chressanthis captured the diverse emotional range of the
athletic exertion from the runner's point-of-view, to the elation of victory,
overcoming the 'they said it couldn't be done obstacle.' But it was the training
that was the most challenging part of production. "Thirty percent of the film
involved training or racing. Each race in Bannister's career was given a distinct
character: from the ragged spiking of his early races, to the cold primitive night
races
- and ending with the powerful grace of the record breaking run," states Chressanthis.

James Chressanthis, ASC is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers,
the Directors Guild of America, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the
International Cinematographers Guild. His credits include:3: The Dale Earnhardt
Story, The Reagans, Eloise At The Plaza and Eloise At Christmastime (with Julie
Andrews), The
