(8/1/06 - Mooresville, NC) - Sidney, Ohio race car driver Brandon Knupp was voted #1 out of the Top-50 drivers selected for Racin\' For A Livin\'. The fans voted on the Top-50 drivers from March 28 through July 31, 2006 to limit the Rookies down to the Top-15. ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Brandon Knupp wound up with 5.825% of the 15,089,923 votes logged.
Brandon has spent the last four months promoting himself and Racin\' For A Livin\' with newspaper, magazine, radio and television interviews throughout the country and has amassed a huge fan following, which has led to the overwhelming votes he received during this part of the competition.
\"I really don\'t know what to say, said Knupp, I\'ve talked to so many people that have supported me and voted for me throughout this whole Racin\' for A Livin\' voting process, it\'s just so humbling to me to know that I have this kind of support.\" Brandon added, \"All of the media has been great with the interviews and filming, they have all been so willing to help out all of the drivers on Racin\' for a Livin\', it\'s just been amazing. In a last minute twist the sponsors and producers of Racin\' For A Livin\' have thrown in another 5 drivers as alternates. \"Due to the tremendous efforts of all the drivers involved Bell Racing would like to reward an additional five drivers as \"Alternates\" for the program Racin\' For A Livin\'. \" Said Bell Racing General Manager Kyle Kietzmann. The Alternates are the Top-5 contestants that did not make the final selection. Should one of the 20 contestants not be able to participate, an alternate will be selected. Bell Racing has graciously provided all transportation and lodging for the Alternates who will also have a chance to be seen by Veterans and Team Owners. All of the action video for the Alternates will be available on the Insiders Club prior to the airing of the show in February 2007.

About Racin For A Livin Racin' For a Livin' is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to receive seven fully sponsored rides in a NASCAR Busch Series car in the 2007 season. Created by veteran open-wheel racer Jerry VanDenHul, the series will kick-off using direct internet voting to select the twelve participants. The RacinforaLivin.com website has become a major destination for auto racing fans on the internet, and will begin a national sweepstakes competition this weekend with fantastic prizes. Details of the program, news about the series, and an overview of the competition is laid-out on the website, along with a fully-interactive user's forum.
Racin' For a Livin' will be featuring top broadcasters, drivers, and crew chiefs as the judges when the driving competition begins with the top twelve rookies. Featuring some of the most well-respected tracks in the country, Racin' For a Livin' will put these rookies in pressure-packed situations, and one driver will be eliminated in each episode.
The off-track poise of the rookies will also be tested with a variety of interesting encounters with top celebrities, racing legends, and current NASCAR drivers. Judging will be on driving ability, public appearance, and personality. And the viewers play a key role. Internet users will have a vote for who stays, and who goes.
The final selection of a winner will be done in a two hour special, with each regular season episode presented in a one hour version. Network television negotiations are in progress, with national primetime exposure for all participants, win or lose. Details will be announced shortly. JVI Productions LLC will not release the details for television due to the fact that it does not want any of the rookies to gain an unfair advantage in the media.
