Press Release Body = Fraud and abuse alleged at RI Agency State Police asked to investigate RI Child Support Enforcement
(Warwick, RI, USA) This month is Child Support Awareness Month, and Jojo Gator, the man who nearly sold his family on EBAY earlier this year has filed a complaint with the RI State Police that include charges of abuse of power, fraud and conspiracy by Rhode Island CSE (Child Support Enforcement). Gator, whose "Family for Sale on EBAY" attempt drew worldwide attention claims CSE has targeted him.
"This is not an isolated incident, this is a pattern of abuse that an attorney I consulted says may border on a RICO claim," Joseph Rainone, aka Jojo Gator told reporters today. "I\'m not alone, people from the Hispanic community have told me of similar issues with CSE."
"They suspended my license again and again without notice or due process" Gator said today. "I went to the ACI over a weekend for doing nothing wrong while they ignored their error. How do they make a $45,000 clerical error, suspend someone\'s license without notice, send someone to the ACI, and then punish someone further who brings that mistake to their attention?"
"Not only did they fail to correct their mistakes over a five year period, but CSE employee Charlie Anthony tried to send a Sheriff with instructions to embarrass my family by serving me with a moot court document on national television, and we have witnesses," Gator said.
"When a mistake was pointed out to CSE Attorney Mary Donnelly, she stated in open court that she was going to call SSI (who was considering my disability claim) and inform them that I could work due to the EBAY story." "A provision had been written into the Ebay agreement for replacing myself or others," Gator responded, "and I don\'t know if she called them or not."
"Rhode Island is the host state for the Child Support Lien Network (CSLN) which clandestinely obtains personal information on people they target from insurance companies and more in member states around the country and then shares that information to inflict punishment or support their collection efforts, right or wrong. If they can\'t keep their accounts straight or monitor their people how can they be a model?"
"I know for a fact that my ex-wife has not received cash benefits from CSE while I was paying child support. Where does the money go?"
Gator said he was forced to hire an attorney, and retained Attorney Richard Merola of Providence who cleared up this ongoing legal matter, which was dismissed by Judge DiMuro on Friday.
Gator said he plans to file a civil case against the Rhode Island Division of Taxation, Child Support Enforcement and would be reviewing the possibility of filing a Federal complaint against the division and CSLN members.
