The Danville Pounders of the North Eastern Hockey League are pleased to announce
they have come to terms with the first 3 players for 2006-2007. The first is Justin
Thoel a native of Palos Heights, IL, Justin was drafted out of High School by the
Danville Wings formerly of the North American Hockey League, Before the season
started he was traded to the Compuware Ambassadors formerly of the North American
Hockey League where he played for 2 seasons and won a national championship. After
Compuware Justin Played for the Springfield (IL) Jr. Blues of the North American
Hockey League. \"Justin is a good young Defenseman and I can\'t wait for him to have
the chance to show what he can do at a professional level.\" Cameron Estes Danville
Pounders G.M. said. The Second player is Jake Krumm of St. Charles, IL, Jake comes
to the Pounders from th University of Oklahoma ACHA D-1 program. Last season as a
sophomore Jake compiled 18 pts in 22 games. \"I have heard alot of great things about
this kids skating ability and willingness to give 110% every shift\" Estes said. The
3rd player is Josh Cartier or Salem, MA. Josh comes from the NCAA D-3 program at
Salem State College where he was Captain and on-ice leader last season. Josh started
this season with the Odessa Jackalopes of the CHL for pre-season action but was
released when team made some of their final cuts. \"Josh is a great addition to the
team, He is young with alot of heart and a great leader from what I have heard, If
the Jackalopes even let him dress that says the kid has talent just needs a little
more experience.\" Estes said. Many more signings are to be announced soon and
opening night in Danville, IL is Saturday November 4th at 7:30pm cst.
