Speaking to itVARnews, GM-Business Products, Epson India Pvt. Ltd., N Sambamoorthy said, "Our main area of focus are peripheral solutions right now. In the office segment mainly our focus is on dot matrix printers, inkjets and consumables etc. Also, our multimedia projectors are doing very well in SMB and corporate segment. Our Home Theatre projectors are catching up fast in home and SOHO segment. Overall our focus is going to be in Digital imaging and solutions. The main areas for inkjets are home segment and SMBs, and photography segment where quality is appreciated much."
He added, "We plan to replace the old models existing in the market with these new models, as these are certainly better products. Our main aim for this campaign "ThINK" is making available to customers the quality products and affordable consumables."
When asked about the expansion plans Sambamoorthy revealed, "We are continuously working for energizing the locations and channels in the country. We plan to expand our channel this year more and are expecting a good business growth in the business projectors. We are also providing POS solutions.
Epson has established a fair reach in the upcountry market. Revealing the situation he said, "We are more focused on the upcountry front. Infact, we have more strength in upcountry than the main locations. We will continue to make ourselves stronger, as the consumer segment is much wider here. Also, its much better because the products offering two years warranty are taken much seriously here."
The target segment of Epson India varies from product to product for its dot matrix printers and projectors the company mainly target the corporate segment. Their new range of photo printers is mainly focusing on the business and SMB class. Whereas, the all in ones are projected to become more famous in home and SMB segment.
Talking about the service support Sambamoorthy stated, "We are providing service support across the country through 208 locations across the country. We have been able to well establish ourself in this field, infact service has been one area of continuous improvement for us. We are rated as one of the best service support provider by Indian Market Research Bureau (IMRB)."
