WILL COFFEE TURN YOU INTO A MENSA?
Probably Not....But According To One Austrian Study Strengthens Short-Term Memory And....For One Cartoonist/Entrepreneur Makes For A Smart Gourmet Gift Basket Even Einstein Would Enjoy
\"Not necessarily,\" says cartoon entrepreneur Rick London of Hot Springs, Ar. \"But according to a recent Austrian study reported on Forbes.com and
CBS.com, about 100 mg. a day, the amount in an eight ounce cup will boost your short term memory.....that is, if I remember the story correctly. Haven\'t finished my first cup of java yet,\" he smiles.
As he sips on his own private label coffee, \"Ruth London\'s Exquisite Coffees\" named after his late coffee-loving grandmother who he says \"was very smart, drank coffee all day, and threw things at the bad guys on \'Days Of Our Lives\' as they pursued the naive sweet young girls. She smoked three packs a day, drank tons of coffee, lived to be 99, and never caught even a cold. She read a novel every few days and played cards with her friends
all the way up into her late 80\'s,\" says London.
His entrepreneurial instincts kicked right in after reading the story and he immediately pulled a cartoon from his inventory of over 5000 Londons Times Cartoons that shows Albert Einstein trying to make a choice of which public bathroom to enter, \'Ladies\' or \'Mensas\'.\"
The gourmet coffees come in a gift box which contains five 2 oz. bags from around the world, a 15 oz. cartoon mug, and a set of four cartoon mug coasters. London says to find the mensa basket simply visit the site, click on coffee gift baskets at the top, scroll down to \"funny science cartoons\" click on it and scroll down. The attached example will be there and just click on \"order\", and fill out the secure form or order toll-free. The site address is http://www.londonstimessuperstore.com
London, along with his manufacturing partner 3drose.com of Harris, N.J. has turned the cartoon into 23 different products from mousepads to, yes,
gourmet coffee gift baskets all exclusively found at his Londons Times Cartoons Superstore at http://www.londonstimessuperstore.com which he opened
in September, over 65,000 products of cartoon images (in the 23 categories).
His original cartoon was launched in 1997 in what he calls a \"ranty shack coldwater metal warehouse in rural Mississippi\".
All London had was a used 386 clone computer, a phone line, and a book about how to use the Internet. Within four months he had a web site on
a free host with more popup ads than cartoons and he was writing cartoon concepts and captions nonstop (over 6000 in all). The site is now on another
domain he owns at www.londonstimes.us with over 5000 original Londons Times cartoon images, most available on products at the superstore as well.
London plans to open a subscription-based ecard site out of the cartoons this year as well.
