Press Release Body = With five major holidays approaching in December, Multicultural Business Council has added a Holiday Resource Center to their website, mbcglobal.org. The page is designed to provide valuable information about Bodhi Day, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Eid al-Adha.
The Holiday Resource Center provides the proper greeting for the holiday, dates for each, and gift giving etiquette. Each of the 5 holidays has a link that provides the origin and customs for the holiday along with additional information.
Exploring the site will reveal the answers to: 1. Which holiday includes an important emphasis on giving to the poor? 2. When and by whom were manufactured Christmas tree ornaments introduced? 3. What is the special significance of the Morning Star? 4. Why do so many significant holidays fall in December? 5. What are the seven principles in Kwanzaa? 6. Why are 8 days important in two of the holidays?
Multicultural Business Council (MBC) developed the page to help people understand and appreciate these important holidays and their significance. By understanding origins and customs, MBC believes individuals become more considerate of the people that observe each holiday.
For individuals seeking an even depth in the holidays, the Holiday Center also has recommended reading specific to each holiday.
The Holiday Center will continue to be offered after the holiday season as a year-round resource for teachers, students, and interested individuals. More holidays will be added as seasonally appropriate.
