Press Release Body = Magma Design Automation Inc. (Nasdaq: LAVA), a provider of chip design solutions, today announced that MUSIC-India (Magma Users Summit on Integrated Circuits), will be held in Bangalore Nov. 7-8. In its third year, MUSIC-India's expected attendance has grown significantly, reflecting the growing number of cutting-edge designs being done in India and Magma's growing customer base and expanding presence here.
A platform that encourages the exchange of ideas and challenges faced in nanometer IC design, this year's MUSIC-India will feature 15 user presentations, tutorials and more. Highlights of this year's event will be keynotes by Rajeev Madhavan, Chairman and CEO of Magma, and Dr. Bobby Mitra, managing director of Texas Instruments, who will present "The Semiconductor Market in India: A Lifetime Opportunity."
"The number and complexity of IC designs being done in India is growing fast, and so are the design challenges," said Jagdeesh Rao, Managing Director of Texas Instruments. "Today, noise, power and signal integrity, on-chip variation, and timing closure must all be addressed. With its emphasis on user case-studies and tutorials, MUSIC provides designers with a platform to share knowledge and learn practical and proven techniques. The MUSIC conference is sure to be a very useful forum and I am sure Magma users in India will receive immense value by attending this event.\"
"There was a sharp increase in attendance at last year's MUSIC-India conference, and we look forward to a similar increase this year," said Atreya Nagraja, Regional Director of Magma India. "We're very pleased with the quality of the papers that have been submitted this year and believe that MUSIC-India attendees will learn to better address today's complex design challenges."
