Market Leader in primary chilled logistics selects CODA

Press Release Body = CODA plc, the finance systems specialist, today announced that
NFT Distribution has chosen to replace its existing SAP financial application with
CODA-Financials.
NFT Distribution provides chilled distribution services to major retailers and
manufacturers through its transport, warehousing and logistics solutions. The
decision was made to replace the system following NFT's buy-out from Northern Foods
plc. It wanted a solution less geared toward manufacturing and more suited to its
own individual business requirements, particularly the need to handle open book
contracts and weekly reporting.
"CODA has some excellent references in the logistics industry and offers a flexible,
configurable system with a simple add-on reporting tool, CODA-XL" said Emma Arrell,
Financial Controller at NFT Distribution. "This will allow us to produce accurate
weekly reports quickly and simply. Web browser access is also vital so that each
depot has instant visibility of procurement and financial processes giving them
control over their performance. Because CODA can easily interface with our other
business systems with little manual intervention, we will have more confidence in
our ability to quickly access reliable information and produce reports on demand."
The contract is worth over £200,000 in software and services in its first year. NFT
Distribution is running the CODA system in a Microsoft Windows environment with a
Microsoft SQL Server database.
