Press Release Summary = A survey of professional recruiters and headhunters reveals that healthcare jobs, such as nursing and pharmaceuticals, will be in high demand in 2007. Recruiters also offered their predictions for tech, finance and several other sectors.
Press Release Body = Healthcare and IT jobs will be in higher demand in 2007, recruiters said in response to a January 2007 industry survey conducted by The Online Recruiters Directory.
\"Over half of the respondents to our member survey identified healthcare as a sector they see heating up in 2007,\"said Ester Barzel, of The Online Recruiters Directory. Several of the recruiters mentioned nursing and pharmaceutical jobs in particular as careers they expect will be in high demand within the healthcare job market.
Information technology (IT) was also mentioned by many recruiters as a hot \"in demand\" job market for 2007, but it was mentioned by as many recruiters as a sector they see cooling down. \"Most headhunters feel that IT is going to change this year, but they do not agree on whether IT jobs will be in much greater demand or whether the demand will actually be reduced,\" Ms. Barzel said. \"Perhaps that reflects that IT is a platform on which so many other sectors now rely for their strength.\"
Other careers mentioned as likely to be in high demand in 2007 include, marketing, green technology, he sciences in general, construction and international recruitment. Job markets for finance and manufacturing careers are predicted to cool down in 2007.
More details about how recruiters and headhunters view their industry in 2007 will be released soon when the report Recruiters in 2007 is released. The survey on which the report will be based drew a 10% response rate from the members of The Online Recruiters Directory. The questions were open-ended, and as such this represents a qualitative review rather than a data-driven study.
