announced that Frank Waite has joined the Firm as Of Counsel in the Dallas office.
Waite has more than 20 years of experience representing municipal governments on
matters involving constitutional, employment, and tort claims.

Waite comes to Thompson & Knight after several years of governmental and corporate
legal experience with the City of Arlington, Motel 6, City of Dallas, and the United
States Department of Education. He has served as lead counsel and lead appellate
counsel in state and federal courts, as well as in contested administrative cases.
Waite has obtained pre-trial decisions dismissing more than 50 claims brought
against local governments and officials.

Waite received his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1984, and
his undergraduate degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of
Wisconsin in 1979. He is an active member of the Dallas Bar Association and Tarrant
County Bar Association, and is a Fellow of the International Municipal Lawyers
Association.
