Press Release Body = Who would have told me my John the Baptist would end up being my Judas? A year later, I have no book or company because my publicist kept everything.
Imagine if you will being led out of the hands of an already existing predator only to end up in the hands of an even greater predator. This is what happened to me when I trusted my publicist, Belinda Williams of Literary Lifestyle, LLC. She insisted we leave my publisher, Reality Press, LLC after learning unethical practices and learn self-publishing.
I had no ideal that she was using me to learn self-publishing for herself. I paid for publicist service that amounted over $10,000.00. I received very little service due to our publishing adventure. She told me the publisher who referred me to her continuously said I was naive to the business. Little did I know she banked on it and took my book and company. To this day, over a year later I have not received one royalty check. In the end I paid my publicist to steal my book and company and take a vacation from being a full-time publicist. Authors beware of long distance business relations. Predators start out honest and get you comfortable and in the end, steal your dreams. I have only a bankruptcy trusting them to do the right thing.
