Press Release Summary = A new wedding service was launched across the UK today that provides the happy couple with their own radio station - a highly exclusive experience usually reserved for the rich and famous.
Press Release Body = Wedding FM is a uniquely tailored radio station, dedicated just to the wedding party. Broadcast in stereo, the radio station is available for 24-hours in any UK location and features the couple's favourite songs, artists and bands, special messages from family and friends and the day's news bulletins are devoted solely to the day's big event.
The content is both pre-recorded (allowing people to prepare their stories about the happy couple) and broadcast live from each event. The wedding ceremony is also broadcast live and commentated on by a BBC-trained correspondent, giving a 'royal wedding' feel to the proceedings.
Like any local radio station, Wedding FM is broadcast in stereo FM with a radius of around 20 miles from their reception venue. As it would be impossible to listen to the entire broadcast, a special CD box-set of the broadcast is also provided along with a commemorative Gold Disc of their ceremony or 'their song'.
Each station is designed to reflect the personality and style of the couple. Weeks of bespoke planning is put into each broadcast ensuring the station perfectly reflects the Bride and Groom's personalities.
The station also features the Bride and Groom's Top 20, presented by Hit 40UK presenter Simon Hirst. There is also a Simon Bates Our Tune feature, telling the story of how the happy couple got together.
Wedding guests are encouraged to take part and there is space for the Best Man to present his own programme, if the Bride and Groom are daring enough.
Station staff are commercial radio and BBC-trained and are available at each broadcast to interview guests so that they may tell their stories about the celebration.
David Harber, Managing Director, said, "This service makes any wedding totally unique. For some, it's a real way of announcing your love, for others it's a bit of fun but creates great talkability. We make sure everyone is involved, we interview the florist, the venue manager and we try and talk to every guest to get their reaction and comments on the day.
"Because the live broadcasts are recorded onto CD, I hope our clients will be listening back to the sound of their wedding and best wishes from guests on their 50th anniversary".
"We match the individuality, personality and style of each customer on-air and create, for once, a radio station where you are guaranteed to love all of the music and DJ chatter!."
Wedding FM has operated in the South for one year and is looking forward to this summer's broadcasts. Harber says, "The finest moment is usually when the Bride wakes up and hears her husband telling her his love story in his own words, before he plays her favourite song. It's beautiful".
