With a new \'Raiders Of The Lost Ark\' coming up in 2008 and Nintendo leading the sales charts again, it\'s hard not to feel zapped back to the 80\'s. We all feel a little bit ashamed to be reminded to a time we had ridiculous hair, ugly clothes, naive ideals and suicidal tendencies. But boy was it fun!
Peplab\'s brand new video E.T. celebrates the glorious icons of that time: Pacman, E.T., Back to the future, Transformers, The A-team. Let\'s face it! We all are infected by the 80\'s.
\'E.T. \' is the first single of Peplab\'s forthcoming album \'Ken sent me\'. Supported through the years by tastemakers like Norman Cook and Pete Tong, Peplab has built a dedicated international following, attracted strongly by both their contagious DIY attitude and their unique \'dance/80\'s pop-crossover-sound\', making them truly accessible and hard to ignore.
Last year their track Beautiful People was featured worldwide in the trailer of Hollywood blockbuster Mr. & Mrs. Smith. A few months later UK hitproducer Brian Higgins used their track \'It\'s not the Drug\' as the basis for \'Grafitti My Soul\', a song of UK no.1 girl-band Girls Aloud.
Recently Peplab created a buzz for several months with their E.T.-remixes, which were massively picked up by Top Dj\'s all over the world and gained top-positions in most leading downloadportals (a.o. no. 1 downloadchart of UK based Trackitdown.net). Now the upcoming album-release will be preceded by the (video)release of the original version of E.T.
