Press Release Body = The Guiding Principles of Toyota were shared at a two-day, foundation workshop entitled 'The Toyota Way' attended by a group of employees from EK Kanoo Group, the sole distributors of Toyota and Lexus in Bahrain. The 'Toyota Way Sales and Marketing' (TWSM) which has been undertaken globally, took place at The Bahrain International Circuit on the 20th and 21st May 2007.
The training course provides key values of Toyota to its representatives around the world helping to establish a synergy of sales and marketing principles, team work and motivational skills maximizing participants' productivity and quality awareness at all levels.
Ms. Zahra Y. Rahma, Manager-Learning & Performance Management of EK Kanoo, praised this innovative course saying: "Toyota is committed to building lifetime relationships with customers around the world and to achieve that, we have to help our associates learn about Toyota's leading principles such as 'Customer First'; 'Problem Solving Techniques', the 3 C's for Harmonious Growth and Innovation and other Toyota learning principles. Participating in this course is the first step to understanding the key values of Toyota."
Participants took part in an interactive workshop with significant learning tools such as video; team exercises, hand-on practice, case study learning; presentations and group discussions. They were encouraged to make maximum contribution and offer suggestions and ideas. The outcome of the course is expected to give participants an understanding of organisational cultures, the value of team work, advanced problem solving and communications skills and in general enhance self development and leadership.
During the two-day course they also learned about the History of Toyota and its challenges, key values, sales and marketing principles and how to maximise corporate loyalty as well as helping individuals establish personal goals for achievement.
