Austin, TX. May 3, 2007- Graduation is near for thousands of college seniors, but
will they get their dream job?

"Hiring is up 13% over the last year according to the National Association of
Colleges and Employers" says Raymond Gerson, a career coach and Adjunct Professor
of college success strategy courses.

"An improved job market for college graduates is good news" says Gerson, "but it
takes know-how to get a job you will love and do well."

Here are three tips by Gerson for graduates who want to find a job that is a good
match for them.

1. Know your talents and skills. You will be most effective in a career which uses
your best and most enjoyable abilities. Look for them in your favorite achievements,
things you love to do, subjects you like to learn, and in activites where time
flies.
2. Seek a job you feel passionate about. What problems do you see in the world that
you want to solve, resolve, or positively impact? Choose a work purpose that
inspires you.
3. Determine the types of jobs and companies that address the problems and needs you
have identified. Use public, school, and career libraries to research and identify
employers and opportunities. Conduct information interviews with people and
employers in fields of work that interest you.
