Luster had fled to Mexico after being convicted of 86 counts of rape. Dog and his crew tracked him for months before Dog and his crew found him in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. After that, Dog, Leland, Tim were arrested by Mexican police for the deprivation of liberty of Andrew Luster. After the three were bailed out in 2003, they returned to Hawaii to start their own reality TV show. In September 2006, after three successful seasons of Dog the Bounty Hunter, Dog, Leland and Tim were arrested for the deprivation of liberty of Andrew Luster, and they faced extradition to Mexico to face a jail sentence.
