year, according to a newly published report.

England saw inflation fall from ten per cent in April to just 9.8 per cent in May,
with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland recording similar results.

Scotland\'s inflation figure for April was 17.8 per cent but fell to 15.5 per cent in
May, while Wales saw inflation drop to 8.9 per cent from an April figure of nine per
cent.

Northern Ireland, which is experiencing huge growth in light of recent political
events, saw inflation fall from 54.1 per cent to 51.9 per cent.

Overall, it appears that house prices are beginning to cool and many experts expect
prices to level out in the coming months.

David Harber, Operations Manager of National Homebuyers says: \"There is still an
element of confusion in the property market.

\"The FT is reporting that house price inflation accelerated in June. We call on the
government to find a single source of information that will lead to reducing the
amount of consumer confusion.\"

The leading fast property buying firm conducted a survey in 2006 of 1,000 customers
that found 72.1 per cent were confused as to which indicator to rely in.

Harber says: \"67.1 per cent of our customers believe the figures are published to
manipulate the market for self interest\".
