Press Release Body: BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI - June 12th, 2007 - CJPS Enterprises LLC (www.cjps-enterprises.com) joins forces with a distinguished list of visionary companies who are demonstrating their commitment to building the talent for Michigan's future by supporting Oakland University's ATiB (Applied Technology in Business) program. With ATiB, CJPS Enterprises wants to make a positive impact on the community by enriching college education in Michigan.
CJPS Enterprises, a hands-on consulting firm specializing in plan execution to create high growth for its clients with a knack for creating strategic alliances, rapidly building intellectual property portfolios, and implementing breakthrough strategic marketing plans, recently partnered with Oakland University to support the ATiB program. The ATiB sponsorship by CJPS Enterprises has, thus far, provided a unique opportunity for three students to contribute to real-world projects by applying their IT skills while advancing their major fields of study in accounting, marketing, and human resource management.
"We have been extremely pleased with the quality of the students from this program, and the impact on our small firm. Not only do they provide very effective support to our staff, but the quality of their work has been remarkable. We don't cut them any slack, and they keep up with the challenges!" said Christophe Sevrain, CEO of CJPS Enterprises. "It doesn't hurt that it is a great value, and that it allows us to contribute to our local university while supporting the students and providing them with very fast and real hands-on training".
"ATiB's learning model is that of a consulting engagement at the sponsoring organization, with the students as team members," said Dr. Mohammad Dadashzadeh, the ATiB director. "What makes our collaboration with CJPS Enterprises especially rewarding is the learning opportunity afforded by working with a consulting company that takes pride in helping its clients move rapidly from strategic planning to successful execution. Our students are generously treated to the same caring approach by none other than the CEO, who is teaching them how plans are developed and translated into actions in support of new product development and introduction into healthcare."
The ATiB program (http://atib.sba.oakland.edu) is a competitive, two-year undergraduate minor that draws students from all of Oakland University's business majors. Over the course of their junior and senior years, students engage in more than 600 hours of project work at sponsoring companies. In turn, the sponsoring organizations provide tuition scholarships and the opportunity for ATiB to participate and assume responsibility on project teams. This innovative approach has proven successful for businesses and students alike. Testaments to the program's success include being named Automation Alley's Educational Program of the Year in 2002, along with accolades from more than 50 companies in southeastern Michigan.
Christophe Sevrain has also been active with other educational institutions. He was a guest lecturer on innovation, technology commercialization and time-to-revenues reduction strategies at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He is also a member of the Rice University Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship Life Science Advisory Board, a Member of both the Biomedical Advisory Committee, and the Entrepreneurial Advisory Committee at Lawrence Technological University, and has been a speaker at the M.I.T. Forum on Intellectual Property management.
