Press Release Body: MERINEWS ANNOUNCES the launch of its new look home page on the
World Elders Day (October 1).

Mahatma Gandhi has been one of the founding fathers of Indian democracy. On the eve
of the 136th birth anniversary of Gandhiji, in whose reverence the UN adopted a
resolution to declare it the 'International Non-Violence Day,' the improved look is
being launched.

"History is not just a cold chronology of dates and events. It's a sense of
responsibility and duty. A Citizen Journalists portal, we are committed to
strengthen our great democracy. At merinews, we seek the blessings of countless
elders, including the Mahatma," said the CEO and Editor-in-Chief of merinews, Vipul
Kant Upadhyay.

He added the new home page has a neater look. It is more pro-active. We have given
greater prominence to the Citizen Journalists and Citizen Journalism.

The refreshing new design of merinews home page has incorporated greater utility
with beauty, making beautility a new touchstone. The research and development,
design and strategic planning teams, worked in close coordination to create a better
interface.

The hallmark of the improved home page is an improved navigation. The look and feel
of the content has been bettered. The new page is more user-friendly.

The screen resolution has been enhanced from 800 pixels to 1024 pixels. Merinews
picks have been increased from three to four, now.

The viewer/reader's eye would be able to comprehend the 'Recent Articles' and
Citizen's Choice with greater ease. The campaign about Citizens' Manifesto 2067 has
been placed on the top, right hand side of the page, making it more interactive than
before.

The choice of colours, red, deep blue and grey, is in keeping with the corporate
colours of the group. Blue and grey, feels the design team, is appealing.
