Press Release Summary: Yoon Seung Cho blends two cultures in his recently published second album "Latin Corea"
Press Release Body: Los Angeles, CA-November 27, 2007-World class jazz pianist, Yoon Seung Cho, has recently published his second album titled "Latin Corea," which combines the rich sounds of Latin Jazz with traditional Korean songs. The new album infuses the delicate characteristics of jazz pianist Eliane Elias and the Latin atmosphere of composer Hermeto Pascoal, with Cho's distinct personality. "It will be the first in a whole new genre in Latin music which combines the Korean mind with traditional South American style beyond the experimental stage," said award-winning composer and producer Carlos Campos. "This album is very attractive because it shows the musical roots of Brazil and Argentina. Praise for Cho's contribution to harmony between Korean and Latin Music." Cho was born in Korea, but grew up in South America. He studied classical music at Argentina National Music College and jazz at Berklee College and New England Conservatory in America. Cho was discovered by Herbie Hancock, the famous pianist a part of Miles Davis' quintet, and went on to become the first Asian person to participate in the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance at the University of Southern California, a specialized two year program for a select group of the world's most gifted young musicians. Cho currently teaches music at Musicians Institute and works as a jazz pianist in Hollywood. "Latin Corea" was produced by SoundSketch and is being distributed by MBI (Music Bridge International). The album is scheduled to be released in the U.S. in February 2008.
