Press Release Body: WAKE FOREST, N.C. (November 7, 2007) - Dick Storck, Program
Director for WCPE, TheClassicalStation.Org and former Armed Forces Radio and
Television Service (AFRTS) announcer, invites listeners across the country to
remember those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Through music,
WCPE will remember and honor all service men and women on Veterans Day, Sunday,
November 11 (2007315).

WCPE will be participating in Armistice Remembrance, November 11 (2007315) at 1600
hrs (GMT), 11 a.m. (ET). WCPE will broadcast Taps as a momentary remembrance,
reflection and honor of the end of WWI and the setting of the sun on all violent
conflicts.

During Sunday's Great Sacred Music program 1300 hrs (GMT), 8 a.m. (ET)-1600 hrs
(GMT), 11 a.m. (ET), host Ken Hoover will offer several sacred pieces inspired and
written in times of conflict and in remembrance of noted military heroes. Included
in the three-hour program will be the oratorio, King David by Arthur Honegger, John
Rutter's Requiem and the War Requiem by Benjamin Britton.

"Throughout history, music has played an important role during times of conflict,"
says Hoover. "Music provides connection between troops in distant lands with their
friends and family at home, offers healing of the heart, mind and spirit for those
suffering loss and passes along the history of the events."

In addition, at 2000hrs (GMT), 3 p.m. (ET), WCPE will offer various United States
Armed Services songs honoring the dedication, loyalty and faithfulness of the men
and women serving around the world.

WCPE's 24/7 live broadcast of Great Classical Music can be accessed around the globe

About WCPE:
With a 28-year history, WCPE is a non-commercial, 100 percent listener-supported,
independent station dedicated to excellence in Great Classical Music broadcasting.
Community-minded business underwriters and foundations are among the 150,000
listeners in the North Carolina broadcast area. General Manager Deborah S. Proctor's
leadership has enabled the WCPE community to include national and worldwide
listeners. Other radio stations and cable television systems can rebroadcast Great
Classical Music. WCPE is one of the first public broadcasters to stream on the
Internet. WCPE is heard worldwide on the Internet in multiple formats, including the
next generation IPv6. Because WCPE receives no tax-derived support, the station
conducts two on-air fundraising campaigns and two major mail-out campaigns per year
to raise needed operating funds. Quarter Notes, the WCPE Program Guide, is published
four times a year as a means to enhance appreciation and understanding of classical
music. It is distributed to station supporters and is also available online at
TheClassicalStation.org/guide. For more information, visit TheClassicalStation.Org
