On December 3, 2007 Mr. Kaya completed an education-based mural for the students and faculty of Michael McCoy elementary.
The mural titled "So Many Ways To Soar!" focuses on all aspects of education at McCoy Elementary, and the school's motto of "Soaring To Success".
The mural came to life due to the efforts of several students at the University of Central Florida, who worked with McCoy Elementary School as Junior Achievement volunteers. Volunteers Alanna Mobley, Amanda Camardella, Whitney Scott, Sharda Toolsie, JP Davis, and Crystal Benjamin have provided an additional lesson for the McCoy students through their mural gift by showing how giving back to the local community is an integral part of responsible business.
Ms. Ruth Ortega, Principal at Michael McCoy Elementary had this to say about the mural: "Artist Sed Kaya's mural at Michael McCoy Elementary School reminds us of the joy of childhood and the enthusiasm for learning. The bold and colorful wall comes alive as the artist depicts children laughing and learning as they explore the world around them. The mural is a daily reminder to all who walk the halls of the school that the spirit of learning is a youthful energy that dwells within each and everyone of us. Sed Kaya has our deepest gratitude for this priceless gift."
Mr. Kaya commented, "Mural art inspires children to create, especially when they are able to see a blank wall turn into a fun piece of art. I was happy to give back to the community by donating my services for this mural."
