Press Release Body: Denver, CO - March 18, 2008 -BBC is hosting Britain's first television modeling competition for women with disabilities set to air on BBC Three in the summer of 2008. "Britain's Missing Top Model" is a revolutionary new series in which eight women with disabilities will compete over the course of three weeks to see if they have what it takes to be a professional fashion model. People with disabilities can learn more about the competition and how to apply at disaboom.com, the leading online community for people with disabilities.
"Britain's Missing Top Model" is a five-part reality series where eight women will move into a London apartment and immerse themselves into the fashion industry. Three industry professionals will train the contestants in every aspect of modeling, from posing for photo shoots to location work and catwalks. In the finale, one model will be selected as the winner and will go on to participate in a high-end fashion photo shoot with one of the world's leading fashion photographers. The shoot will appear in a spread in a top women's magazine, yet to be announced.
Women between the ages of 18 and 30 who are living with a disability are encouraged to visit disaboom.com and learn how to apply for "Britain's Missing Top Model." Applications must be received no later than Friday, March 21, 2008.
