ENENSYS secures SFN broadcast with the release of its patent pending SFNguard synchronization mechanism, a must-have feature for SFN Adapters redundancy
Press Release Summary: ENENSYS strengthens SFN Adapter 1+1 switch-over, and more generally, SFN broadcast consistency with its new feature SFNguard, where two SFN Adapters communicate together in order to preserve transmitters SFN synchronization.
Press Release Body: Unlike Multiple Frequency Network (MFN), Single Frequency Network (SFN) topology is much more demanding. Within an SFN network, timing as well as transmission parameters are provided by the SFN Adapter to each transmitter belonging to the same SFN cell. In case of failure of the SFN Adapter, switching automatically to the spare is not sufficient. Indeed, this will cause the modulators to de-synchronize during several seconds, resulting in a TV blackout.
"SFNguard is a unique and innovative synchronization mechanism ensuring both SFN seamless switch-over and reliable end-user experience. SFNguard option is available for both DVB-T/H and Chinese DTMB SFN Broadcast." said Olivier MILET, Head-End Product Manager. "With SFNguard, ENENSYS confirms its position as an expert in SFN Broadcast".
