Press Release Body: in the first semi final of the Edelweiss Challenge of the Indian Cricket League which was a game between the Hyderabad Heroes and Chennai Superstars, the Heroes have left their mark in their game. The Heroes won the match by a very close four runs and Boje has been awarded the Man of the Match for his performance.
The pitch report said that it would prove beneficial for the spinners and also, the team who won the toss would be benefited if chose batting first. The Heroes did exactly this when they won the toss. They came to bat in first with Maher and Razzaq who came to open. These two openers however were lost by mid of the fifth over but Razzaq made sure that some runs came before he left.
It was Rayadu and Boje after them who came and started getting some runs for the team. Rayadu stayed on till the twelfth over and made 25 runs but Boje hung on till the seventeenth and made 47 runs. Meanwhile Kemp came and went after making just 2 runs. Binny contributed 24 runs after him and Singh scored 10 more and the team score came to 147 runs.
Harvey and Vignesh came in to bat for the Chennai Superstars but both these were lost in the first two overs itself. With just a gap of a couple of overs in the mid, the team kept losing wickets very regularly which just could not get develop the momentum for the team. However Badani came in at number five and scored a half century for the team. He survived the game till the end of sixteenth over. It was after his departure that the team started to lose the impetus that it required to win the match. However it was a close call for them with just four runs remaining and they took it off really well.
