Press Release Summary: Legend Press has announced the first in a series of exciting acquisitions to the publisher's rapidly-expanding list.
Press Release Body: Following the signing of Orion author Nick Griffiths in September 2007 - Legend Press are delighted to announce the acquisition of the sequel to Dalek I Loved You (published by Gollancz in April 2007), on 25th October. WHO GOES THERE, which will record Nick's Doctor-inspired pilgrimage around the country, will be written in just a time-defying 21 days. Nick Griffiths' first novel IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF HARRISON DEXTROSE was published by Legend Press in April.
Prize-winning author Philip Hansell has been signed by Legend Press, and his novel THE HISTORY OF US will be published early 2009. The novel is a beautiful exploration of love and obsession; pushing the boundaries of art to the point at which the muse becomes the artist and the observer becomes the observed. Told in three parts, The History of Us, explores the relationships between three people, bonded by love, but also by a single tragic moment in their shared lives. Philip is also the author of the prize-winning Brought to You by the Makers of Norriss Toothbrushes, which was also adapted for the stage and performed in both Edinburgh and London. He also works with BBC Radio Drama and is a musician and published composer.
Legend Press will be re-packaging their debut short story collection - THE REMARKABLE EVERYDAY on 30th August 2008. The cover will have mass-market appeal, and is timed to publicise the opening of submissions for the 2009 Short Story Re-invented collection.
