A day at the Spinney School of Fine Food begins at 10.00am with refreshments and homemade biscuits. The hands-on class or demonstration of choice commences at 10.30am followed by mid-morning aperitifs and appetizers. A three-course lunch will be served either in the conservatory overlooking the garden or weather permitting on the terrace. Lunch will usually consist of the demonstrated dishes or those prepared by the students and are always accompanied by fine wine and homemade bread.

Class numbers are small, ensuring individual attention. The school prides itself in creating a relaxed environment for you to enjoy, whilst making each class fun and informative. The fantastic working kitchen has been purposely designed for teaching and demonstration. Nothing has been overlooked in its conception, with a 4 oven Aga surrounded by character oak cabinets, which focus on a huge granite top island. State of the art appliances and conventional ovens are integrated within this central area, without compromising on pure style and function. The whole air-conditioned environment is an absolute pleasure and joy in which to work.
True to Ali\'s values, The Spinney School of Fine Food uses only the finest ingredients that are locally sourced wherever possible and using organic produce from the kitchen garden.
Cooking with an Aga is one of Ali's passions and specialties and the "Making the Most of Your Aga" course is a must for Aga owners. There is a choice of "Hands-on Aga Days" or demonstrations both showing the versatility of the Aga.
