Press Release Summary: Accounting software company KashFlow is planning a double celebration this week having won two prestigious business awards in the categories of "Growing Business of the Year" and the Managing Director winning "Young Entrepreneur of the Year".
Press Release Body: UK based accounting software company KashFlow is celebrating this week having scooped top honours in not one but two award category's in the 2008 Basildon District Business Awards.
Pitsea based KashFlow won top spot for the "Growing Business of the Year", beating off competition from the likes of a website design company and a manufacturing business, along with the Managing Director of KashFlow, Duane Jackson, winning the coveted title of "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" Award.
The awards ceremony was a black-tie event that took place at Towngate Theatre in Basildon on Friday 11th July 2008. Chairing the panel of judges was Lloyds TSB's Information Architect and local Conservative Councillor and Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Steve Horgan, a trained electronic engineer who has worked for large-scale IT companies for over 22 years.
Speaking about KashFlow's achievement of winning the Growing Business of the Year Award, Managing Director, Duane Jackson said,
"The award win is testament to the fact that we have a very hard working and skilled team who are as passionate as I am about growing the business in a way that is not only sustainable but will also enable us to maintain the high levels of customer support and product innovation that we have become famous for within the accounting software arena".
Speaking about his personal achievement of winning the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award Duane Jackson continued,
"I am truly honoured to have won this much coveted award especially considering the high level of competition. Anyone who spoke to any other of the finalists for this award would have been impressed by the entrepreneurial talent that we have in the local business community and this speaks volumes about why there are so many successful companies in our region."
Simon Hughes, Manager of Basildon Renaissance and one of the judges for the Young Entrepreneur category commented,
"Duane is a true entrepreneur in every sense of the word and has been committed to making a success of himself and his company. Duane started off with web development and soon spotted a major gap in the market, which he took with both hands and has made a major success of. He has gained the right investors, employed the right staff, and puts his customers at the core of his business, helping him to produce a remarkable piece of software for SME's that is valuable to them and profitable for him. He runs a well-managed and organised company, and is a deserving winner of the 2008 Young Entrepreneur Award. Congratulations to Duane and the rest of his company on both awards."
The Growing Business of the Year Award was sponsored by English Partnerships and the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award was sponsored by Basildon Renaissance.
