Press Release Summary: Artist Jackie Tice and member of the Oil Painter\'s of America works to build a new website to feature her fine works of art.
Press Release Body: Oil Painter Jackie Tice is no stranger to moving. She has moved five times and to three states in the past five years. She has one more move to make; however, this one is of the virtual sort. Jackie has been hard at work for the past couple of months building a new website for her paintings. As Jackie puts it, "After I was accepted into the Oil Painter\'s of America I began to feel that I owed my patrons a little something more that a template. I was at artspan for a while and it served me well as I was getting started, but my work was starting to get lost, like the trees in the forest." Not satisfied with templates, Jackie started researching the computer code html in order to build her own site from scratch. She registered her domain name jackieticestudios.com and built for that a unique website that reflects her sense of aesthetics and composition. When I asked her which was worse the physical or virtual move she replied, " Well this move was easier on my back but I\'m a painter not a computer person so there was quite a learning curve for me. I knew just enough html to be dangerous." Then I was given a quick tour of the artist\'s studio. She only has about an 8 x 10 space to work in which includes her office as well. Despite this she still manages some quite large canvases. She has attached her easel to one wall to save space, and currently on it is a 40" x 40" painting of a young woman in blue. She explains that this is to be her entry in the upcoming Oil Painter\'s of America competition. Jackie explains, "The deadline is July 3rd so I don\'t have a lot of time." I\'m intrigued by what appears to be a security camera attached high on the wall opposite her easel. She explained to me that she has focused her web cam on the canvas, and takes shots as she works. Later she will load these images into a video editing program and turn the single shots into a time lapse animation of the paintings progressing from beginning to end. She told me that she would also like to hook the web cam up to a live streaming link to her website but still hasn\'t figured out how to do it. As she puts it, "It\'s taken me a while to get the new site up and going during which I wasn\'t painting as much as I should have been. For right now I\'m focused on this deadline so the live cam is going to have to wait." At this I was shown the door by the tip of a paint brush as the artist got back to work on her
