Press Release Summary: For those holidaying in Scotland this year, luxury extras and grandeur properties are high on people's wish list when it comes to accommodation, according to Scotland's leading specialist holiday lettings agency, Cottages & Castles Ltd.
Press Release Body: Visitors have become increasingly discerning in recent years with luxury fitted kitchens, games rooms and broadband internet access in high demand. However, it's not just the additional extras that count! The grandeur of the property and traditional style is increasingly in demand as people desire to live the Scottish dream in a beautiful castle.
Sue Bourne, Manager of Cottages & Castles said: "We have many spectacular castles for rent throughout the summer in some of Scotland's most spectacular locations. Each castle is a one-off with extremely high standards of interior furnishing, many luxurious extras and personal touches that you won't find in a hotel room. Many celebrities have rented castles through us and you too can become king of a castle this summer."
Cottages & Castles has experienced an increase in bookings this year, with visitors coming from mainland Europe and further afield to stay in a Scottish castle or cottage and live the Scottish dream for a few days or weeks.
Sue Bourne continued: "Our customers are increasingly discerning and the real growth in the market is from repeat visitors, who want a traditional Scottish experience in a high quality property, whether with the whole family, or with a group of friends. This year however, we expect to see an increase in the number of UK holiday makers booking castles and luxury cottages as more decide to holiday at home as the Euro remains high." Some examples of castles and outstanding country mansions that typify the level of luxury that visitors can expect include: Law Castle is one of Scotland's most luxurious and exclusive holiday homes. The castle dates back to the fifteenth century and was built as a wedding gift for Princess Mary, the eldest daughter of James II of Scotland. This grade A listed property has been magnificently restored to its former glory ensuring its original character exists. The kitchen typifies this where modern appliances sit side by side with medieval ovens and a chimney rising to the parapet. What is now the formal great hall of this spectacular castle once served as a courtroom and comes complete with a pit prison behind a flagstone trap door. On the ground floor there are two vaulted rooms, one a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and the other a utility room. Many of the shuttered windows dotted around the castle have seats in small chambers set into the thickness of the wall. The spiral staircase continues to the roof level, where there is an unusual \'Caphouse\', formerly the guards\' lookout. There are views over the quiet village of West Kilbride towards the Firth of Clyde and the Isle of Arran. http://www.cottages-and-castles.co.uk/property/view/accomodation-castles-mansions-west-kilbride-law-castle-p093.html
